I searched Goolgle and here and read some info where having the shifter bolt (the bolt that holds the shifter to the shifter fork on the tranny) good and tight, not overtight, but snugged down (15 lbs torqued) will improve gear selection and shift quality. I have mine loose enough that I can move the bolt side to side, but of course it`s locked in place with a locking nut. Is it better for gear selection/shift quality to have it snugged down, therefore getting rid of any of the "slop" with having it loose?
